Belonging to a denomination often has negative reactions these days but I want to offer my positive spin. I know that there are pros and cons to belonging to a denomination but for me the pros outweigh the cons. I wasn’t raised in a Christian home and when I became a follower of Christ the church became my spiritual family. When I learned that I belonged to a denomination, my spiritual family suddenly became bigger. It is comforting to me to have the connectionalism with others of my denomination. Yet, I find comfort too from the fact that believers from other denominations are part of my spiritual family as well but there is a closeness within my denomination that is nice. After saying all of this, it will be great to get to heaven and not have to worry about denominational labels! Amen? Amen!
